Who we are
Travelex N.V. ("Travelex") office mailing address is PO-box 721, 1000 AS Amsterdam, Netherlands and the company is registered in the Chamber of Commerce trade register in Amsterdam under number 33143504, VAT number: NL 001546223B01.
Travelex is registered as a connected mediator of Wirecard Card Solutions Ltd ("WDCS") in the public register, which is kept by the Netherlands Authority for the financial markets and as a payment institution in the public register of De Nederlandsche Bank NV.
Travelex uses the following trade names: GWK Travelex N.V., GWK, GWK Travelex Currency Services, International Credit and Depositors, and Change Express.

Use of the website
This website, www.gwktravelex.nl (the "Website") is operated by Travelex Netherlands NV ("Travelex" or "us" or "our") on behalf of herself and her houdster and subsidiaries (together called the "Travelex Group"). Access shall be granted only in accordance with the Online Terms of Travelex. Read the following Online Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Website. By using the Website you accept and comply with these Online Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Online Terms and Conditions, we ask you not to use the Website.
Copyright notice
The copyright of works that are on the Website, including but not limited to all software, design, text, graphics, sound recordings, animations and video clips, is owned or licensed by Travelex, unless explicitly stated otherwise. You may access the Website for your own use of the facilities offered. You are not allowed to make any other copies of the Website or the content, or send copies to demonstrate, perform, distribute (whether or not for a fee) to license, alter, store or use otherwise. You may print pages from the Website and download extracts for personal reference. It is not allowed in any way whatsoever to make changes to the paper or digital copies of the Website’s content that you have printed or downloaded. Nor may you use pictures, sound recordings, animations or video clips from the Website separately from any accompanying text. You must not use any of the Website’s content for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of Travelex.
If you print, copy or download any part of the Website in breach of these conditions, you will immediately lose your right to use the Website and you must, at our request, return or destroy all copies of the Website.
Providing links to the Website (either to the homepage or otherwise, including framing) is permitted only with prior written consent from Travelex.
Brand communication
"TravelexTM” and "The Worldwide Money LogoTM” are registered trademarks of the Travelex Group. Other common words or symbols that are used to determine the origin of goods and services are trademarks of their respective owners.
Web content and materials
The information, materials and services on the Website may be subject to change without notice. Not all products and services are available in all geographic areas. The final decision on whether or not you qualify for certain products and services is subject to acceptance by Travelex. Travelex may terminate or amend the information, products or services described in these Online Terms and Conditions. All dated information is published only as of the date indicated and Travelex assumes no obligation or responsibility to update or alter the information.
Additionally, Travelex states that no one may make use of the information, products or services on the Website in jurisdictions where the provision of such information, products or services is prohibited by law.
Links to other sites
Links to third-party websites are provided solely as pointers to information on topics or services that could be useful for users of the Website. Travelex does not control the content on other websites. Links to other sites do not imply any responsibility for the opinions, ideas, products, information or services offered on those sites, or any representation regarding the content on those sites. These links are provided for your convenience only. You are responsible for complying with the terms of use of those sites. Travelex makes no express or implied warranties relating to the content on those sites.
Termination
Travelex may terminate your access to and use of any part of the Website at any time without notice if one or more provisions does not comply with these online Terms and Conditions or for any other reason. Travelex reserves the right to discontinue the management of the Website without notice.

Ordering foreign money
This Online Terms and Conditions apply to the online money ordering service that Travelex offers through the Website (the "Service"). The Service includes the online booking of banknotes in foreign currencies and prepaid travel cards ("Cash Passport"), collectively referred to as "Travel Money".
Using the Service
The Service is available only to persons over 18 who are resident in and have access to the Service from within the Netherlands. The Service may only be used to reserve Travel Money for holiday or business travel and not for speculative, investment or other purposes. By reserving our Travel Money you confirm that you have read and understood the Online Terms and Conditions and that you agree to be bound to and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
The Service is only available for the currencies listed at any time on the online ordering screens. All orders are subject to a maximum of €7.500 per person, per order and a minimum value of €50 per person, per order.
The availability of currencies may also depend on further monetary limits, currency exchange restrictions and the compliance of all applicable laws and regulations by customers, including those in the field of combating money laundering. (There are no frequent flyer points provided in connection with the use of this Service.)
* For our MasterCard® Cash Passport there is an initial minimum charge amount equal to the value of €100.
Note: The rates available on the Website are displayed separately from the rates available in our stores and can therefore vary. You can not get our Website rates in our stores unless you have ordered your currency in advance via the Website.
Placing an order
When you place your order you have the option to choose what time you would like to collect it. You can also state which office you would like to collect it from, choosing from the offices listed on the online reservation form.
You can order up to 14 days before the collection date. USD and GBP can be collected after 30 minutes of ordering, as long as we receive and confirm your order before 15.00 CET. All other currencies can be picked up after 3 days**, as long as we receive and confirm your order by 13.00 CET.
** Our commitment of 3 days applies to orders that are placed on Monday-Thursday. If a currency is ordered between 13.00 CET on a Friday and 13:00 on a Sunday, the order will be ready for collection on the following Wednesday.
To place an order, follow the instructions on the booking screen. You should complete your order within 20 minutes of clicking on the booking screen. Otherwise your session will expire and you will have to restart the order process.
You can correct any errors on your order up to the point that you click "reserve my currency now" on the reservation details screen. You do not need to enter payment information on your online booking form as you pay when you collect your order.
Exchange rates: The exchange rates we specify online are real time quotes and are subject to change. The online rate is applicable on the date that you order, unless the exchange rate calculated in the establishment at the time of your collection is more favourable. If this is the case we will offer you the more favorable rate.
We reserve the right at all times to ask for more information from you to enable us to complete your order and/or to comply with requirements of regulators. By placing an order you confirm that the specified data is correct in all respects. The system displays a confirmation screen where the data of your order is listed. This receipt shows that your order is confirmed. We can at any time, for whatever reason, refuse to process your order in whole or in part. A contract between you and us is only established after we send you a confirmation email stating that your order has been accepted. Please print a copy of the confirmation screen for your records, as well as a print out of the confirmation email, since this is the only copy of your order.
Retrieving your Travel Money
You must pay for your Travel Money when you pick it up from one of our stores. Depending on your method of payment you may be charged a fee (see below). Orders can only be collected by the person named in your Travelex confirmation email. Orders can only be collected during the opening hours of the collection establishment. Information regarding the operation hours of the collection location will be sent to you at the time of the order and can be found on the Website. Make sure you have enough time to pick up your order before you travel.
You must show a valid passport or European ID card for identification purposes when collecting your order. Depending on your order, Travelex reserves the right to ask for further information and identification (such as proof of your home address) in accordance with its anti-money laundering policy. The name on the debit card used to make the purchase must match those on the credentials used.
In order to fulfill its anti-money laundering obligations and other legal obligations related to its internal risk and fraud policy, Travelex reserves the right to request a copy of your ID at the time of collection, which will only be used during purchase to meet obligations under anti-money laundering legislation and other legislation. Unless required by law, Travelex will not disclose information to third parties.
Cash Passport
There is an initial minimum charging amount of €100 for Cash Passports.
If you buy a Cash Passport, you are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the issuer of the Cash Passport, Wirecard Card Solutions Ltd ("WDCS"). The terms of your Cash Passport may vary depending on the currency of your Cash Passport. Please click on the links below for copies of the relevant conditions.

These conditions are also provided at the collection facility or enclosed with your Cash Passport. Read them carefully when you receive your Cash Passport. By collecting and using your Cash Passport you agree to be bound to the conditions. For clarity, these conditions apply from the moment you collect and begin to use your Cash Passport. Cash Passports need to be activated for use. This will be done for you by Travelex at the location where you pick it up.
You should also confirm that you have received information about your Travelex Cash Passport.
Fees
The Service itself is free of charge. You pay for your order when you retrieve it. You can pay for orders with most major credit cards or debit cards that are issued in the Netherlands. The card must be in your name and have sufficient balance to pay for your order and any applicable fees.
Credit card or prepaid debit cards are subject to handling fees and card issuer fees. If you choose to pay with Maestro, there will be no handling fee. If you pay by credit card or prepaid debit card, there will be a handling fee of €5, plus 3% of the value of the order. This shows up in your credit card order summary as "fee" or "credit card fee".
Promotions
Countdown Offer
A "Countdown Offer" is an online promotion of Travelex which is available for a short period of time (for example, a one-hour pound-sterling promotion or an hour and a half dollar-rate price promotion) (also called a "Currency Happy Hour") whereby the clock on the WebsIte (the "Timer") counts down the offer.
From time to time Travelex may offer Countdown Offers on the Website, subject to the following conditions.
- A Countdown Offer is only valid for online orders on the Website during the time indicated on the Timer. Due to the time required to upload rates to the Website, the countdown may be available up to 10 minutes before the Timer is due to start, and up to 5 minutes after the Timer has expired. This is to ensure that the Countdown Offer is available throughout the period of the promotion.
- A Countdown Offer may cover more than one currency at the same time, taking into account the time limits specified by the timer.
- In order to qualify for the Countdown Offer rate all you need to do is enter the amount of the particular currency which is subject to the Countdown Offer in the ordering screen – the promotional rate will automatically apply to your order should you complete your order by clicking "Buy My Currency Now" within the time limits indicated by the Timer.
- If you do not press the "Buy My Currency Now" button before the Timer expires, you will receive the following message: “A rate change has occurred, please check your order summary as it may have changed”. Should you wish to proceed with your order you will be charged the new rate and not the promotional rate under the Countdown Offer.
Promotion Codes
From time to time we or our affiliates may provide you with a special Promotion Code for use on the Website. Please note that some promotion codes may only be available for a limited time. We do not guarantee the availability of Promotion Codes or the terms of any such offers.
If you have been provided with a Promotion Code by an affiliate, please refer to the affiliates Terms and Conditions for details of that offer.
Your right to cancel
If you placed an order for collection then this order can be cancelled at any time prior to collection by by contacting the Travelex office listed in your confirmation email. If you have not canceled your order and you do not pick up your order within 72 hours after the specified collection time at your selected Travelex branch, your order will be considered not collected and will be canceled.
Corrections and complaints
If you would like to make changes to your order after you have clicked on the button "Order My Currency Now" on the order details screen, you can contact the Travelex office listed in your confirmation email.
Travelex has a complaints procedure. For comments or complaints, please contact us at reactie@travelex.com. We will communicate with you in English.
Travelex is registered at the Klachteninstituut Financiële Dienstverlening (Kifid - Financial Services Complaints Institute) under the number 100.000367.
Third party rights
If you place an order for Travel Money, we will enter a personal agreement. Third parties may not appeal these terms or assert any rights in respect of this agreement.
Personal security and payment
Privacy notice:Use of this Website is subject to these term and conditions, as well as our Privacy Notice and Cookies Statement. If you subscribe to or purchase Travelex products and services, this Privacy Notice forms a part of your contract with Travelex.
Limitation of our liability
All content and services on or available through the Website are provided in the state as they are currently available ("as is"), and Travelex makes no representations or warranty regarding the Website or the content. In particular, Travelex offers no warranty as to the accuracy, suitability, reliability, completeness, performance, fitness, freedom from viruses or timeliness of the content or services on the Website.
Moreover, without limiting the exclusion of liability, the information on the Website is intended for use by holiday or business travelers or for persons or companies wishing to make international payments in foreign currency, and may not be used for speculative gain, investment or business purposes.
This information and other content on the Website are not intended as advice on which reliance should be placed. We accept no responsibility or liability arising from any reliance placed on such services by any visitor to the Website or by anyone who may be informed of any of its contents. In addition, we give no assurances that you will receive the services for which you register.
We use reasonable care and skill in providing the Service. However, we shall not be liable to you for you in the following cases:
- If you fail to provide us with correct information when placing your order;
- If one or more of our obligations can not be met due to failure in technical systems or for other reasons which we cannot reasonably control, including but not limited to war, terrorism, governmental action, natural disasters and labour disputes;
- Damage to your computer due to the use of the Website or the Service;
- Loss of information or unauthorized use of data resulting from your use of encrypted systems below our recommended level; or
- Indirect or consequential damages, claims or damage suffered by you or arising out of your use or delay or inability to use the Website or the Service, for any reason whatsoever.
Modification of conditions
We may, at any time, with immediate effect, in respect of future orders, change, suspend or withdraw the Website, the Service and these Online Terms and Conditions without notice and without liability to you.
If we revise these terms, we will post the revised version on the Website. You are expected to check our Online Terms and Conditions from time to time to take notice of any changes we make, as they are binding on you. By using the Website or the Service or by placing orders after we have changed these terms, you will be accepting the changes.

Law and jurisdiction
Our legal relationship shall be governed by Dutch law. Disputes that we are not able to resolve by mutual agreement shall be decided by the Dutch courts. You can also submit a dispute to the klachteninstituut Financiële dienstverlening (Kifid - Financial Services Complaints Institute).
